Wheel-thrown and assembled Nova Scotia earthenware with slip, hand painted under-glaze and sgraffito decoration and glazes.

This vase is a contemporary interpretation of a Delftware flower brick, originally developed in 17th century Holland to display tulips. The blue and white palette compliments a multi-coloured range of flowers and foliage. The complex lidded form with finials is skillfully assembled from wheel-thrown components and decorated by hand.
